Vince carter is a hall of famer no doubt about it. If any of you guys watched almost every game of his as a raptor then you wouldn't disagree. You give him the ball he scores or makes a play for one of his teammates he is one of the most underrated passers for a 2 guard in the history of the game. What hurts him the most is all those years he played as a raptor if he was on any other team in his prime this would be the most ridiculous discussion ever. Imagine if he played for the clippers like Blake Griffin in the L A market. Trust me if you seen Carters first few years in the league you would agree.... If you don't believe me get some game footage of carter in his prime it was amazing.. Ppl use to bring signs to the arena saying jordan who so if that doesn't justify him I don't no what does

He has always been terrible defensively and I don't recall him ever coming through in a big moment? Him dunking on Frederic Weis is one of the highlights of my life I must admit. I suppose I feel this way because I've always liked Carter and wanted him to be successful and he just never reached that level of a top 5 player in the league in my opinion. Tracy Mcgrady was much better at his peak. I just don't know. I honestly don't think he deserves it

The Nets were beaten by better teams when Carter was over there... Miami (twice) & Cleveland.
Miami won the title in 2006 and Cleveland made it to the finals in 07... Carter seems to be the guy to blame every time one of his teams loses...
You can't blame the guy for that degree stuff... he was one shot from winning game 7 vs Philly, it wasn't like he was a no show.... "Missed every big shot he took..." please!
In Orlando, the series vs Boston were lost because of Rashard Lewis who failed to deliver. Carter had a couple of bad games but in no way these bad performances were the major cause of the Magic's debacle...
Once again, look at the numbers, the achievements (including the Olympics in 2000) and VC deserves his spot in the HOF.
Every +20,000 career scorer in the NBA got in the Hall of Fame... and he 's the best dunker of all times...
VC was the hope of the game of basketball in the early 2000. Even if he disappointed some times, you have to take all that into account.

There is no way Vince Carter makes the hall of fame. He is a career loser. The nets picked him up after making 2 consecutive finals and never made it back. He will be remembered for missing some practice time to receive his degree and showed up right before game time with a chance to make it to the eastern conference finals when he was with the raptors. of course he missed every big shot he took. Orlando made the finals then picked up carter, only to get worse. He is finished. He is not a hall of famer. not even close

What people seem to miss out is that we're talking about the Basketball Hall of Fame, NOT the NBA Hall of Fame !!! Vince won the Gold medal in Sidney 2000 and was MVP of that tournament. Add that to the 8 All Star appearances, Rookie of the Year, best dunker of all times, +20,000pts in his career...he is a HOFer. No doubt about it

I highly doubt Vince makes it into the hall. The "HOF percentages" stuff is mostly looking at stats and accolades and whatnot, but there is definitely a human element to it as well. Remember, Dennis Rodman is not in the HOF, presumably because the voters don't like his "attitude problems," and he's definitely a more worthy addition from a basketball standpoint than Vince. The voters all hate Vince and his attitude, and its not like his resume is so absolutely fantastic that they can't deny him, so I doubt he gets in.
