WOW, that’s the word I’m going to use to describe the game between the Utah Jazz and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Jazz looked like they had this thing won early in the 2nd half, they were up by as much as 21!!! Then the 76ers STORMED back into the game and even appeared to have it won down the stretch in regulation. If it weren’t for CJ Miles, the Jazz would have lost this game and would have had to deal with HOW they lost the lead. CJ Miles tied the game on a lay-up to send it into overtime, there the Jazz were led by veteran forward Andrei Kirilenko. Kirilenko scored 7 points in overtime to lead the Jazz to a 112-107 win, Andre Iguodala(23 points) had a chance to win it for the 76ers in regulation but he missed. The Jazz needed this win in the WORST way, if they had blown that lead and LOST that would have been a crushing blow to the morale of this team. Kirilenko scored 16 points, dropped 6 dimes, and grabbed 3 rebounds. The Jazz were without Paul Milsap, Gordon Hayward, and D-League call-up Marcus Cousin. So Derek Favors and CJ Miles got to start in their places, every member of Utah’s starting 5 finished in double figures scoring wise. Favors had 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Miles scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Al Jefferson was his usual self, contributing with yet another crazy double-double. Big Al had 30 points, 17 boards, and 6 assists!! Devin Harris had a solid game as well with 19 points and 4 dimes, Utah out-rebounded the 76ers 51 to 44. The short-handed Jazz are now 35-33 with a chance to get back at the Timberwolves on Wednesday, this time they play host to the Wolves. Utah is now 9 games back of the division leading Oklahoma City Thunder, if the Jazz wish to make a run the time is NOW!!
