Pistons Look to Avenge Loss to Raptors

The Detroit Piston (23-44) look to snap their three game losing streak tonight as they play host to the Toronto Raptors (18-48). The Pistons are coming off their worst defeat of the season to the Denver Nuggets, 131-101. They were outscored by 24 points in the second half and never really contested in the game as Chris Wilcox led all scorers for Detroit with 21 points.
The Toronto Raptors are also carrying a losing streak of their own into this game, a 13 game road losing streak that hasn’t seen them win on the road since January 5th in Cleveland. The Raptors are 25th in points allowed and provide a good opportunity for the struggling Pistons to score a lot of points. Tracy McGrady has had little impact since his return to the lineup last Wednesday as he has been averaging just over 10 points since his return. Richard Hamilton and the Pistons leading scorer, Rodney Stuckey, will look to provide the Pistons with some much needed offensive firepower.
Toronto has won three straight games against the Pistons, including a come from behind victory on December 11th. Detroit fans will remember this game as the Pistons had a 25 point lead midway through the third quarter, and ended up losing 120-116. The Pistons were outscored by 20 points in the fourth quarter. Toronto set a franchise record for the biggest comeback victory.
Detroit should have this fresh on their minds and hopefully the players will be ready to take it to Toronto and avenge the December 11th loss. The Pistons will jump all over Toronto early and maintain their intensity throughout the game, after the game I will be talking about Toronto’s 14 game road losing streak!
