The Lakers are reeling in the Spurs for the top spot in the Western Conference. Whether or not they are able to capture depends mostly on the Spurs than the Lakers. But the Lakers do need to keep winning to keep Mavs at bay.
Looking at the possible playoff match-ups, I’d prefer to see the Lakers avoid Portland and face either New Orleans, Memphis or even Denver.
Portland always seems to give the Lakers trouble. A series versus NO or Memphis should be a 4-0 sweep.
The Lakers have really stepped it up defensively and it is Andrew Bynum and Ron Ron leading the way. The only team that I can see giving them trouble in the Western Conference is Oklahoma City.
Not really much to write here. The Lakers are gearing up for the playoffs and they are as focused now as they were to start the season. Looks like the West will be a cake walk.
