Monday night I got to sit in the 4th row for Spurs-Blazers game thanks to pal Jason and what I saw was a team that wanted to get a victory at home but didn’t have enough to win. With none of the Big 3 or McDyess playing Just keeping the game close would have been a small victory for the Spurs. George Hill is really starting to find his offensive game with a mix of mid-range jump shots coming off of pick and rolls and strong drives to the basket. In the first half, Tiago did a very good job on Aldridge. Tiago was getting anything he wanted. With an array of low post moves and good patience, Tiago played very well. To me, Dejuan seems to be the forgotten man on offense. I’d like to see him get more touches down low. Danny Green has a lot of potential. Green has the length and athleticism to guard top players and has good range on offense. It didn’t help that the refs were horrible but I’m not blaming them. These were some things I saw.
There is a chance the Big 3 could return for the game tomorrow night against the Celtics but one or two could still be held out.
