Sure, they looked a step slow in the 1st quarter. A little hungover perhaps for the late night win versus the Mavs. But once the Lakers found their legs they turned a 17 point deficit into an 18 point lead.
The most impressive stretch was when the starters were on the bench.
Lamar led the squad on an 18-4 run to end the 3rd quarter. The Lake show took up a notch defensively holding the Jazz to 3 baskets in almost 8 minutes of play.
If anything, it goes to show that against weaker competition the Lakers can play half of a game and still dominate. Not good if you are person who likes to put money on the Lakers to cover the spread, but makes you feel good as a fan knowing that the Lakers are in a game no matter how far down they are.
