Top Secret Habs and Bruins Game 5 Player Updates

It looked like the Bruins were in big trouble after losing the first 2 games of the series on home ice, but they bounced back in Montreal and have tied the series at 2. It is now a best of 3 series, with game 5 being played tonight at the Garden. Even though the home team has lost all 4 games, this game is more important to the Bruins than it is to the Canadiens. If the Bruins lose tonight, they will be forced to go back to Montreal for a game 6 where the Habs will have the opportunity to close out the series in their own building.
The Canadiens focus tonight needs to be on their defensive zone play. Too many times last game, the Bruins were able to get to rebounds quicker than the Habs’ D and a few of the goals were a result of poor coverage in front of the net. The key for the Bruins is playing their north-south physical game. Limit neutral zone turnovers, get pucks in deep behind the Montreal’s defense and get bodies to the net.
Since it’s the NHL playoffs, getting information out of teams is very difficult. With game 5 only a few hours away; here are some exclusive top secret player updates pertaining to tonight’s game:
What do the Habs, Bruins and Brandon Marshall all have in common? They get beaten at home.
While on the subject, Zdeno Chara was asked his thoughts on NFL star Brandon Marshall getting stabbed by his wife. Chara called it a football play gone wrong.
Expect a big game from Mark Recchi tonight since most of his family will be in attendance, including all 4 of his grandchildren.
Tyler Seguin will be a healthy scratch once again which means he will contribute nothing to this game; kind of like Tomas Plekanec.
Habs’ forward and noted Jew Jeff Halpern will try his best to observe Passover and not get tempted to eat bread or anything that rises, which is made more difficult by all of Spacek’s turnovers.
Jacques Martin was asked if Scott Gomez would be demoted due to his terrible defensive performance in game 4. Martin responded, “no way, everyone deserves a 74th chance”
Speaking of the coach, the Montreal Canadiens arrived in cabs this morning to the arena. Their team bus has been broken ever since Martin threw Benoit Pouliot under it.
Andrew Ference may not play tonight. His wife is in the hospital after sustaining a lower body injury in bed, due to Ference’s involuntary finger movements.
