The 49ers need to draft a quarterback, but with the lockout it is not likely to happen. It appears whenever the lockout finally ends they will bring back Alex Smith for one more year. But the good news is, according to mock drafts, that the LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson could fall to them. It would be nearly impossible for the 49ers to screw that pick up but it is only mock drafts. They also need offensive linemen in the draft and a pass rusher to get more consistent pressure on the opposing quarterback. Once again with a new coaching staff, it will still be tough for the 49ers to win the dreadful NFC West. The 49ers may not have the worst quarterback in the division but they are far from the best. Plus with St.Louis getting better I do not see a way the 49ers can overcome another coaching change with the same quarterback, yep Alex Smith.

I am a huge San Francisco Giants, 49ers, and an even bigger Los Angeles Lakers fan. For all three of these teams I have a passion to deliver what the hardcore fan craves, as long as the casual fan. I am hear to critically analyze each and every play for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. Although I am a Laker fan I do not write for Los Angeles but it does not mean I won't drop a comment about them either.
