This week, starting today (4/25), we will look at each quarter of the season. Today will provide as an introduction, then the following four days we will break down four games a day until we make it to 16 total games.
Yes this will run through the draft, and I’m pretty sure I’ll blog about our first round pick on Thursday night.
To give a little bit of background on the schedule will help you in the reading of these successive articles.
First of all we have the 5th hardest schedule based on record. We play 6 teams who went to the playoffs last season. Additionally we face the two number one seeds for both the NFC and AFC. Sprinkle in the NFC South (arguably the most talented division in the NFC), and AFC South, teams you can never take for granted. The Colts have a very difficult schedule this season.
I’m not worried about it, I am actually very encouraged by a number of things.
- The team is healthier already, simply by starting the season
- Though the lockout is keeping people away from the workout facilities, I know that Peyton Manning and Blair White are working out together daily, and that’s encouraging.
- The Super Bowl being in Indy is as motivating as ever. Playing a home Super Bowl has never been done, and I could see that pushing this team.
