First off, let me apologize for the lateness of this post. I was trying to knock it out last night, but for some reason I didn’t have a good Internet connection. But it’s been taken care of, and now I want to give you my thoughts on Atlanta’s big win over Orlando yesterday, 88-85. First off, the Hawks one both games at home to take a commanding 3-1 series edge heading into game 5 tomorrow night at Orlando. Atlanta has a similar edge in the season series. Orlando was the one team where the Hawks had a prety good philosophy. Allow Dwight Howard his points, and don’t allow anybody else to do it. But how will this fare against the Bulls? The team goes through Derrick Rose, which presents a completely different challenge. The guard play will have to be stellar. Anyway, back to the Hawks-Magic. Atlanta had some inconsistent ball and was plagued by bad shots and choices, but they were able to work through them and got the victory. The one word used in the press this morning was ugly, and it’s hard to dispute it. Joe Johnson had an all-around good game, and Jamal Crawford continued his good work as a sixth-man. For Orlanodo, Gilbert Arenas is starting to wake up, but Hedo Turkoglu is continuing his poor series. Van Gundy shouldn’t even let him in the game on Tuesday. I expect Atlanta to win in six, as maybe they’ve finally found the secret to playing well at home
