Well 6.5 Million people in ATL. I can understand trying again. Winnipeg will be fine, ever since the new CBA was in place with a salary cap and revenue sharing as long as you get people to show up at full ticket prices you are fine.

They would be able to use the Jets name. It is owned by the NHL. However I don't think it's the leading candidate with TNSE. My three guesses are

Manitoba Moose
Manitoba Falcons
Manitoba Jets

in no particular order.

It might be me but hockey didn't work once in Atlanta I had always found it funny that just because years had passed that the NHL thought it would suddenly become a success. Now they'll go back to another city that lost a team, hopefully this time it sticks.

Also should Atlanta move to Winnipeg they probably won't be able to use the "Jets" name since it is partly tied in with the former Winnipeg Jets in the Phoenix Coyotes. So it begs the question what would the team nickname become?

Great Article!!

I'm sorry guys The NHL does not belong below the Mason Dixon line.

When it goes below the line it gets ruined and purity is lost.

Deleting the (gross) Thrashers is welcomed, and hello to the new Winnipeg Jets.

Now let's work on the retuen of the Quebec Nordiques!!!

One more complaint.

Please change the name and colors of the Minnesota Wild(Elves in hockey outfits) to something remotely non degrading!!

My list of complaints is now complete!
