A couple faces were missing from the Angels this weekend. It really is a good news, bad news scenario.
Manager Mike Scioscia attended his sons graduation from Notre Dame, so you know he’ll be back on Monday.
The jury is out on Howard Kendrick. Nursing a tight right hamstring, Kendrick missed the weekend series against the Braves, and could possibly miss the series against the A’s. Kendrick, who is among the league leaders in batting average, runs scored and hits, has quite an injury history so the Halos will take it extra cautious with him.
The big question is what do the Halos do with Scott Kazmir. Kazmir, who will make another rehab start Tuesday, believes he is ready to rejoin the team. I , like you, have read the Angels don’t think so. I’d be hard pressed to believe they would make him a 14-million dollar set-up man, but they do employ 24 million dollar making Vernon Wells, so anything is possible. I was fortunate (?) to watch Kazmir give up 9 runs in 2 innings to the Brewers in late March, and 5 runs to the Royals in just over an inning, in early April. I really don’t know where he fits on the team. Do the Angels? We’ll see.

O'kay I'll talk about myself a little. I've been working in the television/radio industry for over 21 years. I started at 2 so I am just a tad over 21 (That is a joke). My career has taken me around and and even out of the United States. Right now I call Vegas home, but I just never know where life will take me next. Until 2002 my irrational love for the California/Anaheim/LAA had taken me down some very dark roads, but with Arte Moreno in charge I finally saw the a light at the end of the road. I really love most every sports and having as much fun as possible.
