Here’s this week’s What It Means:
1) It was good to see Harrison Frazar win his first PGA Tour event today at the FedEx St. Jude Classic when he defeated Robert Karlsson on the third hole of a playoff. It took him over 350 tries, and was near quitting at one point, but he got it done, and now gets to play at Augusta National next year.
He also recovered from a shot in the water on 18 in regulation by hitting a nifty pitch to save bogey. Good to see Frazar get the victory.
2) I love that Robert Rock won the European Tour event today in Italy and gets into the US Open as a result. If he could win the US Open, all the great pun-writers out there will have a field day. Because as everyone knows — you gotta roll the rock to win the US Open.
3) Don’t underestimate the seemingly one-week marriage this week of Adam Scott and caddie Steve Williams. Stevie is considered one of the best by his peers and with Adam playing well – he finished second at The Masters — so maybe this is what gets Adam over the hump.
Should be a great week at Congressional.
