Although the Giants did win by three runs yesterday, which for the Giants constitutes a blowout, it wasn’t torture after they scored two runs in the 9th inning. However, the game before where Wilson put two on after two outs and throwing a wild pitch to put both in scoring position, then striking out the last batter looking is torture. Duane Kuiper coined the phrase, “Giants baseball, Torture!”, but it is true even more so this year with all of the one-run games.
This is truly a team that Giants fans have in San Francisco. Their only true everyday all-star was Freddy Sanchez and their only all-star may only be Wilson. But it has been a great showing for Bruce Bochy. If the Giants were to somehow win this year again, he could put himself into the hall of fame down the road, because he would be manager of the Giants for the next ten years at the very least. So this will be another year that the Giants go to the playoffs, even with all their injuries because of the weak division. Now can Colorado go on another run, yes, but will they actually do it this year? No, De La Rosa is out for the season and they cannot pitch in the starting rotation or the bullpen, which is the Giants greatest asset, not the starting pitching.
The Giants go for the sweep against Arizona tonight. They are 18-9 against the NL West and they spend most of September playing the NL West. If a starter or a key bullpen guy goes down, the Giants would be in trouble but, even with all of their offensive injuries they will win the NL West.

I am a huge San Francisco Giants, 49ers, and an even bigger Los Angeles Lakers fan. For all three of these teams I have a passion to deliver what the hardcore fan craves, as long as the casual fan. I am hear to critically analyze each and every play for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. Although I am a Laker fan I do not write for Los Angeles but it does not mean I won't drop a comment about them either.
