Kyrie Irving stars in the 2011 NBA Draft

The 2011 NBA Draft was not the hit the league had hoped but there was plenty of movement and trades that are sure to have fans shrugging their shoulders. The night belonged to Kyrie Irving who the Cleveland Cavaliers admitted was their number 1 choice all along. All the smoke and mirrors the Cavaliers put out came to an anticlimactic end as David Stern announced Irving’s name without hesitation. Head Coach Byron Scott was interviewed shortly after the draft ended and the smile Scott sported could be seen from Cleveland to New Jersey.
I kept track of the players as best I could but the trades were plentiful and at times confusing.
Here is how the rest of the draft played out.
