Over the last several hours PSB has been following a heated discussion between Randy “The Natural” Couture, and Rampage Jackson. The two have been longtime friends, but recently Rampage has expressed a great degree of anger towards Couture for not providing mental support in recent fights. Rampages particular disconcern was apparent on twitter this morning as he bashed the hall of famer for picking Matt Hamill to win via decision in their recent matchup. It appears however, that Randy is trying to calm the situation saying:
“It sucks that rampage would take an objective pick on a fight personally . He’s a great guy and a friend . All the best to him!”
Rampage at this point is having no part of it, stating how he has always been solid to Randy, and that if ever he thought Randy might have a hard time in a fight, he would keep that opinion to himself. Jackson followed with a clearly heated response:
“fuck u dude,u a fake ass has been,I was a real friend and kept my mouth shut when I didn’t know if u would win or lose.”
PSB has contacted Rampage and is awaiting a reply but at this time cannot confirm that Randy has indeed used a racial slur, however a further reply by Jackson certainly implies one was made, perhapsdone so in a more private method, adding to the questionable nature of the nicknake “Captain America” heralded by Randy:
“U can call me a nigger all u want,but that shit don’t bug me 1 bit,cause u know yo punk ass wish u didn’t have 2 tan,I know u hate yo self.”
Rampage has always been a fighter with the attitude that there is nothing wrong with fighting as long as you’re fighting for a good cause. Racism has no part in this world let alone in the fight world, even if it is to promote a fight. Is it possible we may be looking at the return of Randy Couture for one final battle.
