Hear the news? Jose Reyes would like to play for the Angels. The Angels don’t have the players, or possibly the money, to acquire the Mets shortstop, but it’s nice to know some big name ballplayers still want to play in Anaheim. He isn’t as flashy as Reyes, but I like Erick Aybar. Aybar also stays a little healthier. Also, I can’t guarantee Reyes could make that play that Aybar made to end Thursday’s game against the Rangers.
This was supposed to be the series when Nolan Ryan would throw out the first pitch as part of the Angels 50 year celebration. Health problems forced The Express to cancel the appearance. I hope he has a speedy recovery. He was a great Angel, and from what I hear a great person, as well. Baseball needs as many of those guys as they can get.
I am not a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, but I sure like Josh Hamilton. It seems like every year life tests the guy, and he always comes out looking good. I think he’d look good in Halo red, but since that won’t happen anytime soon, I’ll still like him.
When I think Angels baseball, I think Leeann Tweeden. Why is she doing promos for the Angels? She used to date Josh Beckett of the Red Sox. That alone should ban her from doing anything for the Halos. From top Hooters model to stardom. Only in America. Really, I think lindsay Soto should be doing all Halo promos, but she may not photograph as well as Tweeden. You tell me.
Checking out the million dollar rock on her finger, I will tell you right now, you have no shot, so stop e-mailing her your picture.
What a difference a day makes. After last night’s 17 run explosion, the Rangers and Angels combined for 1 run on Thursday.
Not a good day for Endy Chavez. Not only was it his error that gave the Halos their only run, but he also made the last out of the game with the tying run in scoring position.
Jered Weaver continues to amaze. 7 innings of no run ball today vs. the Rangers, which included wiggling out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th inning. Weaver’s ERA in his last 7 starts is 1.01. Freakin amazing!
CJ Wilson has been almost as dominant. In his last 5 starts his ERA is 2.18. Wilson pitched 9 innings, only allowing an unearned run on Thursday.
This game reminded of the 2 starts Weaver had against the Dodgers Clayton Kershaw. Exciting stuff.
Mike Trout wears #27. Remember who used to wear that number with the Halos? It was none other than Vladimir Guerrero. Guerrero now plays for the Orioles, the team the Halos face over the weekend in Baltimore. Unfortunately, big daddy Vladdy is injured, and won’t play in the 3 games.
Angels take 2 of 3 from Texas, and now trail the Rangers by 3 games (Thank’s Sean!) in the AL West. Let’s see how they do on this long road trip.

O'kay I'll talk about myself a little. I've been working in the television/radio industry for over 21 years. I started at 2 so I am just a tad over 21 (That is a joke). My career has taken me around and and even out of the United States. Right now I call Vegas home, but I just never know where life will take me next. Until 2002 my irrational love for the California/Anaheim/LAA had taken me down some very dark roads, but with Arte Moreno in charge I finally saw the a light at the end of the road. I really love most every sports and having as much fun as possible.
