**Rating system for “Plus/Minus” Series**
+3 = Major Upgrade
+2 = Upgrade
+1 = Slight Upgrade
0 = Same as prior year
-1 = Slight Dowgrade
-2 = Downgrade
-3 = Major Downgrade

Team: Winnipeg Jets
2010-11: 80 points, #12 in Eastern Conference

Returning: Ondrej Pavelec, Chris Mason

Arrivals: N / A
Departures: N / A

Grade: 0

No change in goal for the Winnipeg Jets.

Returning: Dustin Byfuglien, Zach Bogosian, Tobias Enstrom, Ron Hainsey, Mark Stuart, Johnny Oduya

Arrivals: Randy Jones, Derek Meech
Departures: Freddy Meyer

Grade: 0

Other than a minor change to their depth, the Jets’ blueline will look identical to what it was last season in Atlanta. That of course is assuming all goes well with the Zach Bogosian contract negotiations.

Returning: Andrew Ladd, Evander Kane, Bryan Little, Alex Burmistrov, Nik Antropov, Blake Wheeler, Patrice Cormier, Chris Thorburn, Jim Slater, Ben Maxwell, Tim Stapleton

Arrivals: Eric Fehr, Tanner Glass, Rick Rypien
Departures: Anthony Stewart, Radek Dvorak, Rob Schremp, Eric Boulton

Winnipeg made some small tweaks to their third and fourth lines, but nothing significant that will drastically alter the team’s offensive production in a positive or negative way.

Grade: 0

2011-12 Prediction: #13-#15 in Eastern Conference

The Atlanta Thrashers franchise that has been relocated to Winnipeg in part because they missed the playoffs for so many years will likely yield the same results, at least this season. Too many teams are improving, yet their roster stayed the same. In this league, a status quo roster really means you get worse.
