The Washington Redskins beat the Colts 16-3 on Friday night. With Rex Grossman showing a promising start against the Steelers the previous week, it was John Beck’s time to show what he has. Beck completed 14 of 17 for 140, no TDs, but no interceptions. Rex Grossman, on the other hand, completed 7 of 13 for 88 yards, no TDs but 1 interception. Much different than his last week’s showing against the Steelers.
The Reskins scored on their first 4 possessions and newbie RB Tim Hightower scored the only touchdown in the game on a 1 yard run. The other standout of the game was draft pick RB Roy Helu with 14 carries for 101 yards.
The Redskins are now 2-0 in preseason and could use all the extra practice missed by the lockout. Up next is against the Ravens Thursday, August 25th at 8 PM.

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
