Preseason off to a good start

Even though it’s only preseason, the Texans are looking pretty good. At least on offense. Defense still leaves a little to be desired but with playersw changing positions and everyone playing in a new system, growing pains are to be expected.
Not much was to be expected from the starters against the Jets but week 2 was a different story.
With the starters playing all but the last 2 minutes of the first half, we got a great look at the starters on both sides of the ball.
Arian Foster only needed 5 carries to show that last was no fluke and Andre Johnson needed 4 catches to show he’s still the best wideout in the league. Schuab wasn’t bad either.
Ben Tate, welcome to the NFL. Tate is going to make a strong push for the number two spot behind Foster.
I liked the fact that they’re making an effort to get Jacoby Jones the ball in space and letting him make plays. With the kickoffs becoming a non-factor almost the Texans need to get him involved.
The offense is starting to click a little bit and the balance looks great.
The defense has been decent. Granted, the Saints have an outstanding offense and Mario Williams is still learning his new position and everyone is still getting used to the new 3-4 system but the signs are there. The beauty of Wades’ defensive scheme is the different ways he’ll blitz you. The Texans are going to try to put a lot of pressure on the QB but if they cant’t get to him or if they’re playing against a top QB then secondary still looks like they’re going to get torched. The run defense is going to suffer do to the focus on pass defense but there is still 2 games left before the season starts and everyone seems to have the right attitude.
