This was definitely the QB challenge for starter position. Both Grossman and Beck played well (until a late game interception by Beck). The Redskins were up 14-0 in the 1st quarter thanks to the defense with a DeAngelo Hall interception for a TD and RB Tim Hightower with a running TD. In the second quarter it was Rex Grossman to throw to Santana Moss for a TD giving the Redskins a 21-14 lead at the half.
In the third it was John Beck’s turn to throw a TD pass to Terrence Austin. In the 4th quarter it was a Graham Gano field goal to take the Redskins to a 31-24 lead then a Ravens FG to bring it to 31-27. The Redskins had the ball with 3 timeouts left and just over 2 minutes left. They had this game. However, they could not get a 1st down and with under a minute left, the Ravens managed a TD to take the lead and the game at 34-31.
Next up for the Redskins is their last preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on this Thursday, September 1st at 7:30 EST at home.

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
