Jamaal Charles and Big Ben Injured in First Half
Posted By David Willow On Sep 18 2011 @ 2:53 pm In Fantasy Football | No Comments
Charles ran a nice stretch play, but was forced out of the game with a knee injury and was subsequently carted off the field. He is listed as questionable to return, but fantasy owners should be scrambling to grab Thomas Jones off the waivers. If Charles misses any significant time, Jones will likely be the back who will cash in. There are no reports as of yet on the extent of the injury so don’t drop a respectable player, you never know with knee injuries.
Ben Roethlisberger also suffered an injury, when Raheem Brock tackled him around the ankle. Ben was able to walk off the field under his own power, and was reportedly moving very “gingerly” on the ankle in the locker room. He is back on the field playing, but owners should monitor for updates on how he fares on the hurt ankle.
Also Dez Bryant has been declared inactive for Dallas’ game at San Francisco, so get him out of your line ups as soon as possible. Miles Austin and Jason Witten should see an increase in targets as a result.
