Surprise Surprise

Well that certainly wasn’t the way we all imagined this going. First off, kudos to the Bills team. They played a great game and deserve a lot of credit. So well done. The Patriots were looking good to start the game going up 21-0 within the first 25 minutes. Welker and Gronkowski went off combing for all 3 of those TDs. Then of course, the Bills offense started getting it going, as they have shown they can all season.  A quick 10 points from the Bills made this a game going into the 3rd quarter.

Then another quick score from the Bills made this a legit game, rather than another Patriots blowout. This is where things got quite interesting. Brady threw a total of 4 interceptions all last season. He threw 4 interceptions in this game alone! Against the Bills; the team the Patriots have beaten 15 times in a row! These turnovers helped the Bills stay in the game and eventually win on a game-winning field goal.

Brady is known as one of the most accurate passers in the NFL and today, in the second half, he was just not himself. If Brady had thrown even 2 picks less, this probably would not have been nearly as close. Very disappointing to see, but Brady will bounce back and so will the Patriots. Expect big things next week against daaa Raiders.

On a side note, Wes Welker did have a career day catching 16 passes for 217 yards and 2 TDs.
