Saints’ Offense Gets Key Player Back

The New Orleans Saints are among the highest-scoring teams in the NFC. The team will travel to Florida this weekend where they will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is their first visit to Jacksonville in eight years.

The Jaguars have been replying on their star running back, and they hope they do not have to do that for this game. Saints’ receiver Marques Colston is set to return to the field this Sunday. Colston had been out after breaking his collarbone in the season game opener against the Green Bay Packers.

The Saints has averaged 34.7 points through the last three games, and the main one was the 40-33 win over the Houston Texans last week. Even though Drew Brees threw his first two interceptions of the season he had a strong game. He threw two of his three touchdowns in the last quarter.

Last game they scored 40 points, and since 2008 the Saints have scored more than 30 points in 26 of 51 regular season games. That is the highest for any NFL game. The Saints hope they can continue this for the game against the Jaguars.

The team is excited to have Colston back, but Brees is even happier. He is glad that he can throw to Colston whenever he needs to. He plays a huge part for offense, and it is good to have him back.

While the Saints have good news about Colston’s return they still are missing key players. They are missing offensive lineman Zach Streif and Olin Kreutz and they could both miss this week’s game. Linebacker Jonathan Vilma and cornerback are also uncertain if they will play.

The Saints could face a problem with the Jaguars’ defense that is ranked fourth in the nation. The problem the Jaguars’ may face is scoring because the Saints have been giving up many points per game. The Jaguars are known for running the ball due to their outstanding running back Maurice Jones-Drew. One thing the Saints must be sure to do is keep an eye on him.

The Saints will have to play just as strong as they did last game. The offense and defense need to both put in work in order to defeat the Jaguars. Let us see if the Saints can stay on top by winning this game. The Saints are 2-1 wonder if they can make it 3-1.
