The Louisiana Superdome will now be known as the “Mercedes-Benz Superdome” for the next 10 years. This is the home of the New Orleans Saints.
The owner of the New Orleans Saints Tom Benson, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and Ernst Leib the president and CEO of Mercedes Benz USA formally announced the agreement Tuesday afternoon.
The Superdome was once a place where people were fighting for their lives during Hurricane Katrina. Now it is back with major improvements worth $85 million. The city is coming back bigger and better, and the Superdome is a symbol of the city and state’s success.
Benson feels that this car company is a perfect fit for the stadium. The majority of the stadiums in the NFL include a corporate sponsor. The Superdome has so many renovations, and it looks absolutely wonderful inside.
The city and the Superdome are both ready to host the 2013 Superbowl. The stadium will also host many other sports events within the next year.
