Quick thoughts for this week’s What It Means:
1) Tiger Woods returning to golf healthy at the Frys.com Open this past weekend and playing all four rounds: major positive. Major negatives: a) that a hot dog was thrown at him. Despicable behavior by that fan. b) that on Saturday and Sunday he couldn’t keep early momentum going and finished in a T-30. c) That he can’t play more. “Family obligations” will prevent Tiger from playing Disney next week, and thus he will now go another month without playing before Australia.
2) Good on Bryce Molder for overcoming his mental issues that have plagued him in the past and beating Briny Baird on the sixth playoff hole to win the Frys. Hopefully this propels Molder onto bigger and better wins.
3) Good job by my man Rickie Fowler, getting his first professional win this past weekend in Korea. It’s not the PGA Tour, but a win is a win, and hopefully this means a PGA Tour victory isn’t far behind.
