Ryan Torain or Tim Hightower? That is the question of the week for these 2 Redskin RBs. I just checked the NFL’s player stats by position and was elated to see Ryan Torain sitting at the #1 spot. Torain has only started 1 game in week 3, after suffering a broken hand during training camp, and is already a power house. Skins fans can remember last year (I know it’s painful to think about) that Torain was the only real consistent positive in that offense.
Tim Hightower (#25) has been the starter, but hasn’t really gelled yet. Add rookie Roy Helu (#45) to the mix and they are a solid bunch, but who’s the starting back? Mike Shanahan has been quiet on releasing who will start, but after the Rams’ game and Torain’s impressive start, he WILL be the starter. No question. Hopefully he can continue to improve and switch up Hightower and Helu around him.
Who do you think Shanahan should start? Is there even a debate?

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
