Saints are Ready to Take on the Buccaneers

The New Orleans Saints have gained a lot of confidence after defeating the Carolina Panthers 30-27 on Sunday. The game was definitely a close one, and after coming back in the fourth quarter the Saints are ready to take on yet another team this week. The Saints will be traveling to Florida to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers may have lost their confidence after losing to the San Francisco 49ers, but they may gain it back this week. They know what they need to improve, and after losing so badly to them they are ready to start over. They are trying to gain it back, but playing against the Saints may make it more difficult.
The Saints are ahead of the Buccaneers after taking the win this week, and of course by the Buccaneers losing. They trail behind the Saints by one game in the division, and the Saints definitely hope to make it a two-game lead. They want to be on top, and they have to defeat the Buccaneers in order to do that.
New Orleans (4-1) came back in the last quarter well basically at the last minute. With 50 seconds left the Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Thomas. This allowed the Saints to take home the win, and it was their second comeback win in three games. This was the game that gave the Saints the confidence they needed and most definitely wanted.
The Buccaneers’ are not feeling the same way, and they gained their season-low 272 yards and had three turnovers last game. Their lost last week might just be what they needed to come back stronger when they take on the Saints. After losing that bad they understand that they need to come back stronger and more focused in order to get past the last.
Both teams last week played with bad attitudes, and it hurt them both in the end. Saints’ player Roman Harper was actually fined for a late hit on Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith. He hit Smith after Smith had scored a touchdown, and it led to a scuffle between the two teams. At the same time the Buccaneers had a lot of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties including one against the coach.
They both need to go into this game with their heads held high. These two teams have split their last three season series, and the traveling team has won the last four meetings. New Orleans has won its last two visits in Tampa. Let us see if they can go for another win, and be ahead by two games instead of one. Hopefully their heads are not too bad, and their confidence does not take over.
