Four QBs Slated for Purdue at PSU

The Paternos have found a kindred spirit in Boilermakers Head Coach Danny Hope. Purdue will play two quarterbacks, just as Penn State will, in Saturday’s matchup.
The Nittany Lions have eked out a 5-1 record so far this season while the Boilermakers come to Happy Valley 3-2 with losses to Rice and Notre Dame.
Leading PSU receiver Derek Moye broke a bone in his foot this week in his apartment and is out for at least two weeks. Look for Bolden/McGloin to spread the wealth around to Justin Brown, Devon Smith, Shawney Kersey, Brandon Moseby-Felder, Curtis Drake, Allen Robinson and Bill Belton. Afterall, if the Nittany Lions have two QBs, they can very easily play seven or more wideouts, though not all at once. If the passing game sputters, look for even more carries for Silas Redd.
Penn State’s defense will be challenged by a Boilermakers’ offense that has thus far exhibited excellent ball protection. The Nittany Lions are tied for first in the Big 10 and 15th in the country for forcing 14 TOs but Purdue has only coughed up the football four times this year.
Again, Saturday won’t be pretty, but if the Nittany Lions’ defense limits Purdue’s offensive production, look for another win for PSU.
The 4 QB’s Stats (just for kicks):
Matt McGloin- 56 of 95, 758 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT
Rob Bolden 42 of 92, 486 yds, 1 TD, 4 INT
Caleb TerBush – 75 of 117, 787 yds, 5 TD, 2 INT
Robert Marve – 20 of 36, 197 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
