Was it nice to see?, yes it was as the Dallas Cowboys led from start to finish in what I called a ‘character’ game in my pre-game blog to beat the visiting St. Louis Rams 34-7.
We’ll the score will not spell excitement although as a Dallas fan, had I been fortunate enough to be at the game, it would of been awesome does not matter the opponent with the big win. So back to the character comment. Coming into the game everyone was all over the Cowboys, they should win, they have to win, Rams starting QB was a huge ? and than there was the comments, what if Dallas loses, at home and get beat by the 0-5 at the time Rams.
So we all know the end result and now Dallas moves to 3-3 and continue to move forward and win football games.
What do we say about Dallas rookie running back DeMarco Murray who ends up rushing for 253 yards. He comes in for injured RB Felix Jones, in fact he does not even come in as a starter for the game and comes up with numbers like that. I will insert here, it was still only the St. Louis Rams as the Rams boast the worst defense against the run, as notes they were without their starting QB and for St. Louis to win the Cowboys would of had to implode.
Dallas QB Tony Romo had good numbers and found WR Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten for other Dallas TD’s. Basically Romo was not in a position to throw the ball all that often with the success of the running game but when he did resort to throwing the ball, he did it wisely and it showed. Insert here, it was still only the Rams .
DeMarcus Ware had the lone Dallas sack of the afternoon to pad his league leading sack totals and in general the Cowboys defense played solid, rushed throwns, gang tackled and I know insert here, it was still only the Rams.
So Dallas takes the win, will continue to work this week on what should be a much tougher opponent next Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles.
With the Texas Rangers currently up 4-0 in the baseball game, things do not look good for the City of St. Louis in the State of Texas where everything is always bigger in Texas.
see ya’ll soon
as always comment, questions, concerns……I know it was only St. Louis
