You either love one or the other pertaining to the Dallas Cowboys heading to the confines of Philadelphia to play the Eagles this Sunday night. These two teams / cities just do not like each other. This game has a lot on the line as both teams look to hit full stride as we start to approach the mid-way part of the NFL season. The Cowboys sit at 3-3 we’ll the Eagles sit at 2-4. This could be the turning point for the winner of this game.
No one can count out either team as far as the NFC East goes as clearly the Eagles are not playing like everyone thought they would of been by now ‘dream team’ and to be honest with you the Cowboys are sitting at 3-3 which is may be where they should be right now albeit as noted in previous posts they are a couple bounces, errant passes from sitting atop the NFC East right now.
Dallas wins and they move to 4-3 and stay in the NFC hunt, Philly would move to 2-5 and we know what will hit the ‘fan’ in Philly and to be honest with you I am hoping it hits the fan and blankets Philly with a whole lot of it. Philly would certainly be on the outside looking in for any chance to salvage the season that was meant to be for the Eagles.
Dallas loses and 3-4 is not an option to make anything positive out of this season (how many times can we say it is still early in the season). I will go to the point to say this is must win for the Cowboys.
It is going to come down to what Michael Vick shows up and if the Dallas ‘D’ number 1 against the run can stop/contain the Eagle threats and force Vick to throw some un-warranted throws down field to hopefully the Dallas secondary.
Dallas is going to try and rely on the run this week and hopefully get as good a game from rookie RB MeMarco Murray (does not look like RB Felix Jones will be even dressed for this game). Even is Murray has half the totals of last week, it could very well be good enough for Dallas to win this football game.
Clock management and Dallas QB Tony Romo making sure of his passes and the Dallas defense should bring a victory to the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday night ‘prime-time’, 8:20. I am sure the tv ratings will be huge, I like my chicken wings BBQ, save a spot on the couch for me.
as always comment, questions concerns……..
