What is worse than losing on Sunday? Waiting 2 weeks to redeem yourselves. As much as players must love the bye week, I hate it. You get into the swing of the season then on your favorite teams bye week you’re stuck watching some crappy game and wishing both teams would lose. Well good news is that Buffalo is back this Sunday and will take on the Washington Redskins at the Rogers Center in Toronto. The Bills have yet to win a regular season game in Toronto, let’s hope things change this weekend.
Does NFL football work in Toronto? Well let’s see, attendance drops every year, the tickets are way over priced, the most fun part (tailgating) is non-existent and Toronto fans don’t even show up to their own CFL games. I’m just glad that there’s only one more year of this Toronto Series. Give back Buffalo their home game and let’s forget about the rumors of Buffalo moving to Toronto. It will never happen! Read this great article and find out why.
Now onto this Sunday. The Bills are still in playoff contention sitting 6th in the AFC and they are looking to get back on a winning streak. Redskins offense are thin losing 5 starters in the last few weeks and will have a hard time to put up some points. This will be great for Buffalo’s defense who themselves are a little wounded. Shawne Merriman is out for the season with his achilles injury, Kyle Williams will get a few more weeks to heal his nagging foot, however the Bills offense is running at full force and will look to put up another 30 points a game.
Sources say Ryan Fitzpatrick is close to signing a new deal therefore he will have to prove that the reported 10 million a year is worth it! Let’s hope Fitzpatrick shows the Toronto crowd some big numbers, minimizes the mistakes and wins the game.
I’m not afraid to predict this one; Bills win by 20. Bold yes, but the Redskins are brutal.
