Lucky 7?

The Ottawa senators are projected to finish 15th in the eastern conference of the national hockey league regular standings this year. They are assumed to have the least amount of goals for with the lack of scoring this team has. They are expected to loose games all year long and for the attendance to drop off. After a month the stories are unfolding early in the NHL, Can the pens continue to hold the top spot without Crosby? Are the Maple Leafs for real this year? Can the Capital keep up the fight after a great start? Can Chicago rebound with a long playoff run? Will the off season signings in Dallas pay off? And the same question every year it seems, Is this San Jose’s Year? Can Ottawa extent its winning streak to 7 tonight?…Excuse me? say that again! Can Ottawa extent its winning streak to 7 tonight?

Who would of thought the new kids on the block,”AKA” the Ottawa senators would be heading into Boston on Movember 1st riding a 6 game winning streak and looking for their 7th win in a row and be classed as the favorite vs the mean and nasty defending Stanley cup champions.

The Sens who sit in in 4th place in the Eastern standing at the moment with a 7-5 record, have some great work ethics this season, the Justin bieber quote “Never Say Never” seems to have inspired young Sens so far this season, basically falling behind in every game this far this season. The Sens never say never, mounting a comeback every time and refuse to go away without a fight. What was suppose to be a easy walk around team to play against, is now giving teams a headache. Tonight the disappointing 3-7 and last place in the eastern standing better have their Advil handy, because this bump and grind style the sens have adopted might  just be all the bruins can handle.

The sens are riding high at the moment, this game is going to be one you wont want to miss, if you like some old time hockey, i guaranty you, we will see some tonight. Spezza and Michalek and Karlsson among the top scoring leaders in the league, not bad for a team who was last in goals for a year ago. I guess their will always be questions to ask and answer this season, that’s the beauty of the National hockey league and tonight we will have our answer.
