Before I go into my wide receiver rankings for week 9, I want to point out that Ahmad Bradshaw looks like he will be missing some time with a foot injury. Although a better report will soon follow in the next couple of days, no one is sure yet if he will need surgery or not. I can bet though that he will miss this Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots. Other than the obvious pickup of Brandon Jacobs, I really like Da’Rel Scott to make an appearance if Bradshaw is out for an extended period of time. Scott had a great preseason and is a very explosive back. So if reports come out tomorrow or Saturday that Bradshaw will need surgery, Scott is my deep sleeper for the rest of the season that you should pick up and stash away.
Victor Cruz will be making an appearance in my top 15 for WR. The absence of Bradshaw means Eli Manning will be throwing a lot more, and a top target for this weekend will be Victor Cruz. Hakeem Nicks seems as if he will miss this Sunday’s game also which increases Cruz’s stock. Be sure to start him in all formats if you have him. Giants TE Ballard is also a great pickup if he is still available in your leagues as he figures to get an uptick in targets as well.
