The Redskins are in a tie for last place or a tie for second place, depending on how you look at it in the NFC East at 3-4. Even though they are playing horribly recently, the division is actually still in any team’s grasps. Every aspect of the Redskins has been on a downward spiral since their bye week, but there may be some slight light at the end of the tunnel.
Trent Williams was limited at practice yesterday and is considered 70%. This offensive line needs changes and they need them now. The Redskins have also acquired another RB in Tashard Choice from the Dallas Cowboys. Acquiring a rival’s player after being released can sometimes put a fire under some players who have previously underplayed, however, he’s injured surprise surprise and is out.
What used to be the Redskins’ dominate force was their defense, but this has also been in decline since the bye week ranked at #5, to #6 the next 2 weeks to now #14. The Redskins visiting my hometown has completely demolished my team. So sorry Skins! Please get better soon!
Team captain London Fletcher is staying positive. “I think we have the right character in this locker room to get it done, but it’s going to take a concerted effort by everybody. It has to start now, looking at the film, understanding what we did wrong, how we need to improve. And we have to carry it over into practices this week and hopefully we will have great results.”
“We understand we have lost three consecutive games, but a win this Sunday would change everybody’s feeling about this football team,” he said. “It would give us some confidence that we need in a sport where you have to play with great confidence.
“We need to just put some plays together, get a win Sunday and hopefully that can carry over.”
I could not agree more, but facing this new 49ers team is going to be the biggest test for the Redskins. Can they overcome 3 straight losses? The Redskins’ offense is rated #19 now against the 49ers at #23, but having to face the #10 rated defense in the 49ers? Grossman or Beck now? Will it matter?

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
