It’s week 10 and time for the NFL to make things hard on fantasy owners so they can get their piece of the pie with their Thursday night games. This looks like it effect owners hoping to see the return of Darren McFadden, who will have to wait another week for their stud to return, and it could effect Ryan Mathews’ return, though he was a limited participant in practice this Monday. So owners be aware and be ready for short weeks on some of your players. Let’s look at the week 10 waivers.
Laurent Robinson – With Miles Austin looking to be sidelined, again, with a hamstring injury Robinson could see a nice bump in production over the next few weeks. Already a highly targeted player by Tony Romo, Robinson could be a good start against Buffalo and Washington who will likely be giving a good amount of attention to Dez Bryant. Available in 83% of leagues currently.
Roy Helu – More craziness from Mike Shanahan, with Helu being given the “reigns” in Washington. After weeks of uncertainty it seems Shanny has a new favorite, but Helu ran well and may be able to keep the job. He started the day going 8 carries for 40 yards against a tough 49ers run defense, and had 14 receptions as John Beck was forced to check down all day. Owners should definitely add Helu but remember that nothing is certain in Washington’s backfield. Available in 66% of leagues currently.
Denarius Moore – Jacoby Ford had the touchdown and 100 yard game, but Moore was targeted 12 times to Ford’s 6 making him a good target in PPR leagues. Ford is worth a pick up as well, with Carson Palmer helping the Raiders passing game show signs of life. Available in 72% of leagues currently.
Leonard Hankerson – The rookie out of Miami was promoted to starter and only caught 4 passes for 34 yards, but was in for most of the game. If the Redskins are smart they will see what the rookie can do, but sad to say, it would likely take Rex Grossman for Hankerson’s value to vault with John Beck refusing to challenge teams down the field. He’s worth a speculative add. Available in 100% of leagues currently.
Earl Bennett – After missing some time Bennett came back to be Jay Cutler’s favorite target this Monday and posted 5 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. He has never been able to sustain these kind of stats, but is worth a flier if your in need at the wide out. Available in 89% of leagues currently.
Carson Palmer – After being given time over the last few weeks to get a feel for the Raiders system and reintegrate himself into the game he has been out of for months, Palmer showed some positive signs throwing for 332 yards and 3 TDs. He will be relied on the throw more for at least the next game with Darren McFadden likely to miss this Thursday’s game.Available in 70% of leagues currently.
Austin Pettis – With Greg Salas going out for the season with a leg injury, Pettis could see a bump in value as the slot guy in St. Louis. He’s worth a look, but only in deep PPR leagues. Available in 100% of leagues currently.
