Last week I described the Bills as flat, this week there were flat out brutal. I hope that their 44-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys is exactly what they need in order to wake up and get back into the play-off race. While watching the game, I was beginning to think that Tony Romo was playing flag football. He had all the time in the world to complete his 23 of 26 attempts. To put things into perspective, he had the same amount of incomplete passes as touchdown. Dallas was able to score on their first 4 possessions and I’m sure they would have scored again but thankfully the first half was done.
Ryan Fitzpatrick seemed to be more productive moving the ball this weekend than against the Jets, but when your stats include 3 interceptions the chance of winning the game are very slim. Fred Jackson was still doing his thing, picking up another 100 yard game, but fumbled for the second game in a row.
Let’s get back to Buffalo Bills football next week against Miami. The Fitzmagic, the Fred Ex(always delivers), the Goon Squad, the Bills Mafia; they have it in them. We’ve seen them play with passion and fire, they just need to find it again. The good news is that they are a mere game back from first in the division and a playoff spot. As my friend Josh would say… “Would the real Bills please stand up, please stand up!” I guess the question is, are these the real Bills?
- Steve Johnson, George Wilson and Erick Wood all were hurt and didn’t return.
- I still hate the Cowboys as much as I did in the 90′s
- If you follow any Bills players on twitter you can see how disappointed they are in themselves
- How awkward was it when Nelson gave his touchdown ball to his Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader?
