Now we’re getting down to it, with the fantasy playoffs 4 weeks away every win is under the microscope. So making sure your team is stocked and ready to roll your opponent is paramount. Let’s look at this week’s top waiver pick ups.
Denarius Moore – After last Thursday’s game Moore may not be on the wire, but if he is, grab him immediately. Besides the 123 yard 2 TD day that Moore had, he remained the go-to guy for Carson Palmer, and with the injury to Jacoby Ford will be a strong play in the games to come. Available in 43% of leagues currently.
Kendall Hunter - With Frank Gore suffering a knee injury on top of running on a hurt ankle and with the 49ers now at 8-1 on the season, Gore’s week 11 could be in doubt. The team has every reason to rest him next week even though he said he will be fine for next week which Coach Harbaugh reiterated. Any Gore owners should have Hunter handcuffed, especially with a game against Arizona’s 21st ranked run defense coming up next week. With Gore out Hunter played well going for 40 yards an touchdown on 6 carries. Available in 81% of leagues currently.
Vincent Brown – Brown tied the team high for targets with 9 against Oakland, and could have had 2 touchdowns on the day had it not been for Lito Sheppard sharing possession of a catch and stepping out of bounds. Malcom Floyd is still hurting and may not be available for week 11, making Brown worth a speculative add and a possible spot start for the last week of BYEs. Available in 93% of leagues currently.
Damian Williams – Williams has become the top wide out in Tennessee after the lose of Kenny Britt. Nate Washington has not been able to fill the role of a WR1. Willams is showing a better ability to fill that role and could be the primary target for Matt Hasselbeck for the rest of the season. Available in 94% of leagues currently.
Lance Ball – Both Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno wen out of Sunday’s game, McGahee with a hamstring injury and Moreno with a torn ACL. With Mcgahee a question mark for a Thursday game on a team that ran 55 run plays to 8 throws, Ball should be added if you have a roster spot to spare. Available in 94% of leagues currently.
Ben Obomanu – Obomanu got phased out by Mike Williams’ return, but with Sidney Rice and Doug Baldwin both suffering concussions and likely to be questionable for next week, he could be a good pick up and play against the awful Rams secondary. Available in 99% of leagues currently.
Some other adds of note are Jason Avant – If Jeremy Maclin is out he could see a bump in playing time. Earl Bennett – He was the only productive WR for the Bears with 6 catches for 81 yards. Jermaine Gresham – Returning from an injury Gresham had 4 catches for 23 yards a TD. AJ Green will not miss any time, but will likely be slowed with a hyper-extended knee so Gresham could be leaned on a little more in the coming weeks.
