ok, so we all know these two teams represent one of the biggest rivalries in professional sports so I won’t go into the whole ‘hatred’ between these two teams and cities. I want to point out one thing and you are welcome to agree or dis-agree but does it not seem that you either love the Dallas Cowboys or hate the Dallas Cowboys, every person I meet either says good for you for blogging on the Cowboys as I hate them in which I reply, tell the blog.
The Cowboys led by rookie sensation DeMarco Murray are on the up-swing although one clear note to self is Dallas has to start beating the good / great teams in the NFL if they at all want to see post-season football. So far this season it is win one-lose one, beat the team you should beat and than don’t even show up to the team you have to be competitive against. We’ll this Sunday the Dallas Cowboys visit the Washington Redskins and I will go as far as saying the Redskins have had their share of bad luck this year, I know injuries happen but it is too bad when you look at the schedule and are so up for a great game to have the game come and your team is barely the same as the team that you had hopes for when the season started and that is how the Washington Redskins feel right now.
The keys to the Cowboys coming out victorious this Sunday is to not take this game lightly and look to US Thanksgiving on the 24th. Whatever Redskin team that comes to play will play at 150% and Dallas will have to re-buttle that with their own 150% and with the Cowboys holding the hammer on the talent pool, I will like to think the Cowboys will head home at 6-4. Now that I mention 6-4, with a New York Giant loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the meadowlands it would put Dallas in a tie with the Giants a top the NFC East. This will be the first time you will ever hear me say go Eagles.
Dallas has to come into the game with their game plan set out, execute that game plan and beat a beat up Redskin team. The Dallas defense showed up against the Bills last Sunday and we will hope that trend continues into Washington and the offense the same, show up, the ‘O’ line has been playing great lately in giving Romo time to throw and see down-field along with the gaps the ‘O’ line is giving the Dallas running game led by DeMarco Murray. Talking about the running game, for the first time in 4 weeks all eyes will be on Dallas RB Felix Jones who is back practising and the intention is that Jones will play on Sunday which is great news for the Dallas running game, kick-offs and punt returns albeit not sure the capacity Jones will be used but hopefully we will see him in uniform and healthy enough to play at game calibre.
as always comment, questions, concerns, next week, Thursday, gobble-gobble, does that give it away?.
