The Tennessee Titans have a very important game Sunday when they host the 4-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Titans trail the Texans by 2 games for the lead of the AFC South Division. Both the Titans and Bucs started the season fast and have slowed in the middle part of the season. Tennessee have only won 2 of their last 5 games after starting the season with a 3-2 record. Tampa started the season at 4-1 and have since lost 4 straight games.
Being a Titans fan I have to believe in my heart of hearts that the Titans will pull out the victory and keep pace with the Houston Texans. The Texans lost starting Quarterback Matt Schaub for the season which forces the unproven Matt Leinart to start in his place. This gives the Titans a golden opportunity to steal the division right out from underneath Houston.
Chris Johnson needs to have a successful game against a Bucs defense that is ranked 28th in the league in rushing defense, otherwise his ineffectiveness could prove to end the Titans season without a playoff appearance. Overall I think this game is going to be a low scoring affair since neither offense has been very consistent throughout the season. Final – Titans 14, Bucs 10.
