According to accuscore.com the Bills chances of making the playoffs after week 11 is a mere 20.9%. So there telling me there’s a chance! In order for the Bills to increase their chances are simple.. win, win, win win and win. I received much criticism from members of my household that I may have been a little harsh on my the last blog. But just like any break-up, your heart and mind gets a little confused and some hatred may spill out. I like to play mind games with myself. Although deep down inside I know the Bills won’t make the playoffs, I’ll be watching the game on Sunday in hopes they win to keep the dream alive. Let’s hope the Bills play the same.
We love our Bills don’t we? We cheered them on last year when they started the season 0-8, we cheered them on when they started 5-2, but it looks like the cheering may come to a halt for Buffalo’s last three home games. According to team CEO Russ Brandon he says Buffalo’s game against Tennessee on Sunday will likely be blacked out because there are more than 12,000 tickets still available. The prospect for sellouts doesn’t look any brighter for the Bills’ final two home games. There’s a combined 38,000 tickets left for Buffalo’s home games against Miami on Dec. 18 and Denver on Christmas Eve. I’ll bet you that if they win against the Titans this Sunday, fans will come back in droves. They’ll give us that little glimmer we need to cheer for them again.
I keep asking myself… would I have wanted an 0-8 start again or the 5-2 we got this year. The answer isn’t that simple anymore. When I was at the New England game and saw Buffalo finally beat them, it was something that I’ll cherish for a long time and gave me hope for the future. At least they gave us hope again for a short while and that’s always better than no hope at all. We know this team is good, now they just have to prove it all over again.
RUN THE TABLE may just be another slogan, but I’ll use it this week and for the rest of the season. If they lose though, I’ll be using SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER.
Because Fred Jackson was put on I.R. he was removed from Pro Bowl voting. There’s been a petition put on the web to re-instate him. Please have a quick look here and sign it.
