I’m just going to start out by saying this is going to be a tough one. The best team in the league is coming to town, the Chiefs have a new head coach, and they are starting a new quarterback.
The Packers have looked almost invincible this season and need a win this week to clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. There have been talks about resting their players, but until they clinch the number one seed that will not happen, which is bad news for Kansas City.
The Chiefs have gone through some changes this week. Coach Todd Haley was relieved of his duties as head coach, which was not extremely surprising. The Chiefs are averaging 13.3 points per game (31st in the NFL) and 293.8 yards per game, which ranks them 28th in that category.
Romeo Crennel will now take the helm and has announced that Kyle Orton will start at quarterback this week. This was a much needed change considering the fact that Kansas City has only scored two touchdowns in the past four games.
If the Chiefs are going to win this game it’s going to be a shoot out. We all know the Packers can put up points and even without Aaron Rodgers’ top weapon Greg Jennings there are still plenty of other guys that can hurt a defense. Green Bay is on a mission, whether they say it or not, they want to go undefeated and prove they are the best team of all time. Kyle Orton has receivers to throw to also, the question is will he be able to put up as many points as his counterpart?
