Derrick Rose came to play Friday night as he put up a season high 34 points to help lead the Bulls to a 107-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Rose was a solid 14-24 from the floor and was in control on the floor and showed people why he is arguably the most dominant point guard in the game. He only had 3 assists but his scoring was all that the Bulls needed from him tonight because once again the Bulls defense held the opponent to a lower field goal percentage than them and that is a good equation to equal a victory. The Bulls continue to be one of the best defensive teams in the league holding their opponents to lower field goal percentages than them in most games and the Bulls are solid as a team when it comes to grabbing rebounds. The Bulls get after the ball and tend to hold their opponent to one shot a possession and limiting second chance opportunities is a key defensive aspect. Also, having good games for the Bull were Carlos Boozer who had 20 points and added 13 rebounds and Joakim Noah who contributed 15 points to go along with 16 rebounds.
With the win the Bulls improve to 17-4 on the year, 8-1 at home. The Bulls are not the most talented players at each position in the league and do not have the best perimeter shooting players but together they are a team that knows how to play together and play to their strengths and work around their weaknesses. The Bulls as a team have played extremely well this year and they have had increased production from their role players this year, even with Luol Deng out, they continue to get nice compliments to Derrick Rose each game, when he has been healthy. The Bulls increased production from players outside of Derrick Rose and with how good their defense has been makes the Bulls a dangerous threat and a favorite to take home the NBA Championship this year.
