Derrick Rose led the Bulls in scoring on a night where they shot over 53% and held the Milwaukee Bucks to under 40% shooting, in the Bulls 113-90 victory, and it seemed as though the Bulls offense and defense was restored to where it was at their high points throughout this short season thus far. Derrick Rose had 26 points to go along with 13 assists and 7 rebounds while he had great support from there role players on the team with four additional players adding double digit scoring efforts in the victory. Luol Deng returned to the lineup and seemed to boost the confidence of the whole team with his effort of 21 points and 9 rebounds as he gave them a much needed spark at the small forward position. Kyle Korver also added 18 points off the bench and C.J. Watson added 13 points from the bench. The Bulls had a complete team effort in this victory and showed the rest of the league what they are capable of when they play a complete team game on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The Bucks really struggled against the Bulls defense with the exception of Drew Gooden who had 24 points, the only starter with more than 8, and rookie Tobias Harris out of Tennessee who provided the Bucks with 19 points off of the bench.
With this victory the Bulls improved to 20-6 on the short year and continue to impress, at most times, throughout the season. This looks to be the best Bulls team to take the court since number 23, Michael Jordan, retired from them prior to joining the Wizards. This team has the heart, ability, and pure will that it takes to win a championship they just need to make sure that they can combine all of them come playoff time and shut down opposing teams with their tough defense and out hustle them on 50-50 balls. Chicago is a good rebounding team and they just need to make sure that they keep that up and under Derrick Rose’s leadership they have a formula that gives them a good chance of winning it all and being the best team in the NBA.
