If he's going to waive his no-movement clause in season, you have to think its to join a team that will likely make it to the playoffs. An attractive market will be important as well.

Would he really want to live in Edmonton for the next 6 1/2 years? Probably not!

Toronto, as much as I hate to admit it, is pretty well set for the future.

No way he wants to go to Phoenix, where the future is very much uncertain.

Tampa Bay can't afford him anyway.

Montreal is a mess right now, and as much as I'd love to see them acquire Nash, I can't see why he would want to come here.

Buffalo and Anaheim are interesting teams you throw out. I personally like both. But again, I go back to the whole playoff thing, and I don't see why he would want to go to either team right now.

Your logic in the first point is flawed. Nash is not a rent-a-player gone in June. He'll be with the new team for nearly a decade. Who's to say who will or won't be a playoff contender? Edmonton, for instance, has a very bright future (unless you don't think that the Hall-Eberle-RNH line will pan out). I did find it hilarious that you included Toronto as a "playoff team with a good future". They have a playoff spot by ONE POINT. They've failed at everything they've tried since the NHL stopped letting them buy their way into the post season, and yet you include them but exclude teams that are typically in the playoff mix (and are likely to return well within Nash's tenure) like Montreal, TB, Buffalo, Phoenix and Anaheim).
