Hello, Basketball fans, I figured the best way to celebrate April Fools Day is to select my Top 3 Fools in the NBA over this past season.
The Top 3 NBA Fools:
1. Dwight Howard – This superstar center essentially held the Orlando Magic hostage for the past 2 seasons with his flip-flopping about leaving his current team. Nets fans we’re utlimately disappointed by DH’s decision to “opt-in” for next season with Orlando. Howard is the 1st player, I’ve seen give up his “leverage” in order to stay with a borderline playoff team. Smart move, Dwight. I think we have our leading candidate for next season.
2. Mike D’Antoni – The former Knicks head coach proved that he was a fool by believing his style of play would fit with his players in NYC. Mike’s naivety was well displayed with his rocky relationship with Carmelo Anthony. Yet, D’Antoni did have a string of fools luck with the whole Linsanity craze earlier this season. Still it wasn’t enough for D’Antoni to overcome the craziness that surrounds Madison Square Garden.
3. Jason Smith – This WWE wannabe showed off his foolishness when he laid a cheap shot on Blake Griffin earlier this year. Not only did this fool land a hit on the Clippers All-Star that would have made Ray Lewis proud, but he went onto lead the crowd in support of his goonish behavior. Now, I’m all for hard clean fouls but what he did was totally unacceptable. Smith’s apology was a press move to reduce damage & it worked because he was only suspended for two games.
These 3 Fools have displayed their idiotic behavior in different ways but hey we all have sometime in our life. So, it’s not fair to expect NBA players & coaches to be any different from the rest of us.
Happy April Fools Day!!!!!
