I totally agree that the manager should not take the hit for bad performance.... I do think that some of the players had not respect for Tito. That is not easy to fix. Rocket Roger, Teddy Ballgame, Yaz and Tony C don't play at Fenway anymore but their legends remain part of the spirit of the Red Sox rich and storied history... with each passing season that legend grows and with each loss, each victory becomes that much sweeter. We as fans invest so much time and effort into our teams and especially in baseball the season is long and arduous and wonderful and terrible so that by season's end, you just hope for a good outcome. As in life, baseball sometimes provides a good outcome but just as often disappoints - even after all the time and effort invested in the process! Take a breath and watch the game.
