Bulls Win Without Rose, AGAIN!

Derrick Rose missed yet another game with that ailing groin injury, but it looks like he will be returning to the lineup soon and maybe get a few tune up games in before the playoffs begin. Even with Rose missing this game against the Celtics they were able to improve to 43-13 on the year and have continue to play well in their superstar’s absence. The Bulls trailed by eleven points at halftime but they were able to overcome that deficit. The Bulls were led by Luol Deng who put up 26 points and added 6 rebounds. The Bulls also had a solid effort from Joakim Noah who had 17 points with 9 rebounds and Carlos Boozer who had 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Bulls had every starter score at least 9 points and the production from their starters was much needed as their bench only scored a total of fourteen points. As a team the Celtics outshot the Bulls 42.9%-41.3%from the floor but the difference came at the free throw line as the Bulls were able to make 7 more free throws than the Celtics. The defense in this game was good for both teams and in a battle between these two teams it is going to be a defensive game more times than not, with neither team reaching one hundred points.
The Bulls are looking more and more likely that they are going to be the number one seed in the Eastern Conference and a lot of the credit has to go to Coach Tom Thibodeau and the philosophy he has implemented with the team. The Bulls have run together wins this year and it has been a mix of playing as a complete team, players knowing their roles, their ability to outrebound teams, taking care of the ball, and most of all they have done it on the defensive side. The Bulls defense has been a major factor in their success this year and as long as they can keep playing their tough defense and Derrick Rose returns and is able to play up to his ability the Bulls have a great chance to make a deep run into the playoffs and to an NBA Title.
