Kobe Bryant MVP

Hey folks sorry about the gap in blog posts as I was on vacation and couldn’t find a reasonable price for internet usage! After the Clippers and Lakers game the other night it came very apparent to me that Kobe Bryant is the front runner and the expected winner for MVP. Kobe has been outstanding pretty much his whole career but something about this season is a little different then the 2007-2008 season when he was awarded MVP. This year Kobe Bryant has shown that no matter what happens the Lakers will be rock solid with him in the line up. Now your saying well what has happened to the Lakers???? And the answer is a lot! Derek Fishers departure being the largest change and the Lamar Odom exit is a close second. Losing 2 players in the top 6 rotation is a very big deal in the NBA. To put it in perspective it is like the Mavericks losing Jason Terry and Jason Kidd. Getting back to the point Kobe has not let anything bother his Lakers and he is willing to fill what ever size shoe is for sale. He is the most valuable player in the league right now. The next question is: If Kobe doesn’t get it who is more deserving? And my answer right now is no one. If Kobe is not MVP this year barring injury they simply shouldn’t award the trophy. Lebron James I guess would be the distant second place in the race but unlike Lebron’s back to back MVP years this year he is not the most valuable in the league. Lakers fans as you watch the game Friday night against the Rockets let Kobe show you why no one is better then him so far this year.
