I was so excited when I saw the Angels go to the bullpen, bringing in recently recalled David Carpenter. My mind ran wild with the the thoughts of Kevin Jepsen and/or Rich Thompson being on the first flight back to Salt Lake City.
I came crashing back to earth like a piece of space junk. The Angels did recall Carpenter, but they sent out Alexei Amarista. Keep putting a bandaid over the situation, that’ll help.
The Angels offense figured that the pen would blow things, so today they decided to do something about it. They scored no runs, falling to the Yankees 5-0.
It was tough going for the Halos, who have never seen Hiroki Kuroda before. Oops, wait they have, as he used to pitch for the Dodgers.
Kuroda allowed the Halos 5 hits, while striking out 5. Not even the past scouting report helped the Angels today.
I would have put money on Kuroda not being the first pitcher to shutout the Angels this year.
2 starts, 2 bad outings for Ervin Santana, who put the Angels in the hole going into the 2nd inning.
It started out so good for Santana, who struck out the first 2 batters of the game. He then proceded to give up a single, 2 walks, followed by a bases clearing double to Nick Swisher.
Those stupid fans that payed $5000 bucks for a ticket to this game didn’t get their money’s, worth, at least in the excitement department.
Angels should be 3-1 on this road trip, but they are 1-3, and trail the Rangers by 3 games.
Do games count in April? Oh yeah, they do at the end of the year when teams are kicking themselves for getting off to bad starts.
Another game tomorrow.

O'kay I'll talk about myself a little. I've been working in the television/radio industry for over 21 years. I started at 2 so I am just a tad over 21 (That is a joke). My career has taken me around and and even out of the United States. Right now I call Vegas home, but I just never know where life will take me next. Until 2002 my irrational love for the California/Anaheim/LAA had taken me down some very dark roads, but with Arte Moreno in charge I finally saw the a light at the end of the road. I really love most every sports and having as much fun as possible.
